In our last update, we reported that construction walls surrounded the bell tower with scrim covering the lower third of the tower. The bell tower is now almost completely surrounded by scrim with just the rooftop visible.

The bell tower in the Italy pavilion is designed as a re-creation of the St. Mark’s Campanile, which is located in Venice, Italy.

Visible through the scrim are many levels of scaffolding used by crews as routine maintenance is done on the bell tower.

During this time, the Il Bel Cristallo shop and La Gemma Elegante shop next to the bell tower remain open to guests. A new Italy merchandise collection featuring Minnie was recently released and the items can be found in La Gemma Elegante.
