Though the quick-service restaurant has not resumed operations, the exterior Tortuga Tavern seating area in Magic Kingdom has fully reopened to guests.

Tortuga Tavern is located across from Pirates of the Caribbean in Magic Kingdom. The Adventureland restaurant closed in June 2024. It temporarily operated as the Tortuga Treasures gift shop due to construction at the Pirates of the Caribbean gift shop, Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar. The restaurant was previously scheduled to reopen in January but this was delayed indefinitely. Refurbishment work began instead, with the outdoor seating area blocked off in phases.

An outdoor walkway with colorful columns, tables, and chairs at Tortuga Tavern evokes an enchanting ambiance. The vibrant architecture with tiled roofs complements the lush greenery. New flooring enhances this picturesque setting, inviting visitors to explore a scene reminiscent of the Magic Kingdom.

The covered seating has reopened, with chairs and tables available to guests looking for a quick respite. Crews installed new flooring across the entire patio.

The flooring is mostly made up of large black rectangular stones, with small red bricks in rows between columns. The flooring was previously dark square tiles.

The outdoor patio at Tortuga Tavern features empty tables and chairs under umbrellas. Surrounded by palm trees and arched doorways, the area is beautifully illuminated by sunlight, casting a vibrant glow over the new flooring reminiscent of a Magic Kingdom escape.

Some chairs and tables are also on a section of red flooring that matches the main Adventureland walkway.

Disney has still not announced a reopening date for Tortuga Tavern’s restaurant operations. There are no hours listed on the Tortuga Tavern calendar.
