The “Tangled” restrooms mural in Magic Kingdom has received its 2025 refresh. The section of the mural on the ground is typically repainted once a year to keep it looking vibrant.
Tangled Restrooms Mural
The mural in question is purple with yellow suns in the style of Rapunzel’s wall paintings in “Tangled.” The purple paint curves down around the women’s restroom entrance and across the nearby pavement.
The part of the mural on the ground sees a lot of wear and tear due to regular foot traffic. The annual refresh ensures the ground matches the wall, which does not fade nearly as quickly.
The mural features dots and floral detailing, incorporating shades of purple, pink, and orange. Since the refresh, the details of the individual plants and swirls are better defined with brighter colors. The details are particularly notable because during the previous repainting of this area, the purple was just a solid color without many of the added elements found on the rest of the wall.
The famous “Tangled” restrooms are located in Fantasyland, next to “it’s a small world.” Before construction of the restrooms, the site was home to an old Skyway station. Despite the Skyway closing in 1999, the station remained empty — except for stroller parking in its queue — until demolition in 2012.
