The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Central Florida, including Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort.
Central Florida Heat Advisory
The NWS in Melbourne, Florida issued the advisory at 9:28 a.m. EDT on July 18, 2025, and it is in effect until 6 p.m. EDT. The advisory is a level 3 out of 4, indicating major heat risk.

It covers Orange County, where Universal Orlando Resort and most of Walt Disney World Resort are located, as well as Osceola County, where the rest of Disney World is located. Nearby counties are also under the advisory, including Volusia, Lake, Seminole, Okeechobee, Indian River, Saint Lucie, Martin, and Brevard.
Heat index values (the “feels like” temperature) could reach up to around 108°F. The hot temperatures and high humidity can cause heat illnesses. As recommended by the NWS, residents and guests should drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room and out of the sun if they can, and take extra precautions when outside, like wearing lightweight and loose-fitting clothing, and limiting strenuous activities.
