The Mr. Potato Head statue outside Once Upon a Toy at Disney Springs has been replaced by a plant.

Mr. Potato Head Statue Gone

Person in orange dress enters "Once Upon a Toy" store with Buzz Lightyear statue by entrance, under a sunny sky.

The statue of Mr. Potato Head from Toy Story can usually be seen in front of the left column of entrance to Once Upon a Toy, atop the circular purple platform. However, Mr. Potato Head is no longer there. Instead, a potted plant sits on his usual purple base.

The plant is blocked off by black stanchions. The Play-Doh container that Mr. Potato Head stood on is also gone. It looks like the purple base may have been repainted recently, which might explain why it is blocked by the stanchions.

Once Upon A Toy Reopens

Mr. Potato Head’s removal may not be permanent. He may have been removed to be refurbished and replaced, as often happens with outdoor decor around Walt Disney World. The Buzz Lightyear statue on the other side of the entrance may also be refurbished soon, as it is also showing some signs of wear.

The Cinderella statue outside World of Disney was removed this week, too, mere months after her last refurbishment. The Aurora statue was refurbished earlier this year and is still standing in her usual spot.
