New details regarding the villains guests will encounter when aboard the Disney Destiny have been announced at Destination D23.

Grand Hall

As previously announced, the Grand Hall will be inspired by Marvel Studios’ Black Panther, offering a “bright and optimistic energy” for most of the day. At any moment, however, it can “morph into a mythical realm of mystery.”
The Grand Hall will feature 360-degree lighting effects; the space will react to the presence of certain characters and can take on the “signature aura” of Disney and Marvel villains.
One of the transformations of the Grand Hall will occur with the arrival of Loki, the fan-favorite Marvel character. While this particular art is not new, more details of the character interactions were shared. Loki will attempt to declare himself the ruler of the Disney Destiny and its occupants, as he is intent on clearing his name with the mortals of Midgard.
Guests will never know where Loki may turn up throughout the ship. He may recruit unsuspecting guests for a surprise competition to prove their adoration for him or command guests to explain the “strange foreign rituals of ocean cruising.”
Cruella de Vil

The Disney Destiny is also introducing new ways to interact with fan-favorite Disney villains. Not only is Cruella de Vil the inspiration behind a one-of-a-kind piano lounge on board the ship, but she can also be found during two brand-new entertainment experiences.
The first is a show, called “Troublemaking with Cruella,” and requires guests and a piano player to write a new song about Cruella, hopefully pleasing the villain.
The second will allow guests to put their style to the test on Cruella’s very own runway, where she will provide live commentary on their fashion choices. Cruella might also recruit guests to create a more flattering musical tribute to her when she hears the song “Cruella de Vil” playing onboard.
Dr. Facilier

Artwork shown for the announcement revealed a new “meet and play” character encounter with the playfully sinister practitioner of the macabre, Dr. Facilier. This cunningly charming illusionist may be lurking around the upper levels of the Grand Hall or in his own makeshift parlor, inviting guests in for a card trick or sleight of hand – he’s just here to make new friends…
The Disney Destiny will set sail on its maiden voyage on November 20, 2025, from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Multiple brand new experiences will debut aboard the heroes and villains-themed ship including a Broadway-style “Hercules” stage show and a Super Minnie meet and greet.
