The construction walls are all gone from the Transportation and Ticket Center at Walt Disney World. Work began in July on repaving the area around the ticket booths.
Transportation and Ticket Center Construction
There is fresh black pavement in front of the ticket booths, which are directly behind the security plaza where guests enter the Transportation and Ticket Center.
In addition to the new pavement, all of the permanent queue railings have been removed. Disney may use portable stanchions now when creating a line is necessary, but most guests buy their tickets in advance, so the booths are not used as much as they used to be.
The new pavement is also in front of the former Mickey’s Gift Station. The gift shop never reopened following the COVID-19 shutdown and its sign was removed this summer.
The black pavement continues behind the ticket booths. Construction began on one side of the plaza and then moved to the other side.
For reference, above is what the area with the railings used to look like.
From 2021 to 2023, the TTC was reimagined with a new color scheme and signage.
The TTC serves Magic Kingdom parking, with ferryboat and Monorail transportation to the park, as well as Monorail transportation to EPCOT.
