The new Lightning McQueen popcorn bucket, released this morning at Hollywood Studios, for the 20th anniversary of Cars. Within just a few hours, the stock had been depleted, and the guests waiting in line were told the buckets were sold out. In a surprising turn of events, more buckets have just shown up at Hollywood Studios.
Lightning McQueen Popcorn Bucket Back in Stock

Approximately 3 hours after the last bucket was sold, boxes of new stock have arrived. A lengthy line immediately formed. We do not know how many have arrived or how long the Lightning McQueen light-up popcorn bucket will be available.

Bucket Sold Out Within Hours

As fast as Lightning himself, the popcorn buckets of Lightning McQueen have sold out at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Given that these popcorn buckets were released in limited supply, it is unclear whether more supply will be coming when the current supply sells out.
Lightning McQueen Popcorn Bucket – $30
The Cars popcorn bucket is designed to look like Lightning McQueen, complete with Rust-eze decals and the number “95” on his sides and roof. Just like in Cars, he has Lightyear-branded tires.

The top of Lightning opens to store popcorn. He comes with a detachable strap adorned with racing checks and the Disney Parks logo. The sound comes from wheeling him around, and there is a wheel lock feature to hold the car stationary when on display.

The bucket’s lighting effects are activated with a switch. His windshield, mouth, headlights, and numbers glow white. Red lighting trims his hood and undercarriage, illuminating the ground below.

There is a limit of two Lightning McQueen popcorn buckets per person, per transaction.

Find the Lightning McQueen bucket at a popcorn kiosk in the center of Disney’s Hollywood Studios (near the braille map).

It will also be released at Disneyland Resort.
