The frameworks of new entrance columns are visible from the air and from the ground at the Monstropolis construction site at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. However, there is a major difference between their installed positions and where the concept art says they should be.
Monstropolis Entrance Construction

The photo above shows the front half of Monstropolis. The building on the left was PizzeRizzo, and the building on the right was MuppetVision 3D. At the bottom is where the old entrance to Muppets Courtyard was and will also be the entrance to Monstropolis.

In the concept art for Monstropolis, the entrance will have four columns, two tall ones and two short ones, with planters on both sides. In the artwork, these columns are parallel to the main walkway to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The aerial photos provided by @bioreconstruct show a distinct change from the drawing.

The frameworks and forms for the columns, in the aerial photo above, show that the column placements are at a 45-degree angle to the walkway and not parallel.

Here is a close-up of the left side of the entrance, with concrete forms prepared to place concrete for the perimeter of a planter, and the two left-hand columns at a distinct angle from the walkway.

And this is the right-hand side, with forms outlining a planter and the columns, also not parallel to the walkway, as indicated in the concept art. This causes the entire entrance of Monstropolis to point more towards Star Wars: Galaxy Edge.

This is what the columns looked like from ground level, on our visit to the park today. They are almost fully formed to receive concrete. The column on the far left is significantly closer to the construction wall than the column on the far right.
Monstropolis Backstory
Just last week, Disney announced details about the backstory of Monstropolis.

Following the events of Monsters, Inc., when Mike and Sulley discovered human laughter is more powerful than screams, Monstropolis changed. Fear and caution gave way to curiosity and connection. Now, for the first time, the monster world is opening its doors to humans for H.U.M.A.N. Day!
Short for “Humans Understand Monsters Are Nice,” H.U.M.A.N. Day is part celebration, part cultural exchange. It’s designed to introduce humans to life inside Monstropolis while helping monsters discover that humans aren’t frightening.
Human guests will get to explore the city, meet its citizens, taste unique cuisine, and step into the everyday world of monsters. Destinations include iconic restaurant Harryhausen’s and the Glob Theater.

We already know guests will get to enter Monsters, Inc. itself, where they will experience Disney’s first suspended and vertical-life roller-coaster, taking them on a journey into the famous door vault.
The reveal also seemingly confirmed the land’s official name is Monstropolis.
Keep up to date with our Monstropolis construction updates. Disney has yet to announce an opening timeframe.
