Beef Wellington: Mushroom Duxelles, Prosciutto and Puff Pastry with Red Wine Demi-Glace – $8.75

This was cooked to a nice medium temperature. The red wine demi-glace was tasty and helped keep the beef from drying out. We didn’t get or see the prosciutto on the plate. Overall, it was a yummy dish. We rate this a 6 out of 7.

Cast Iron-Roasted P.E.I. Mussels with Sautéed Tomatoes, Garlic and Fresh Herbs – $8.00

Cast Iron-Roasted P.E.I. Mussels with Sautéed Tomatoes, Garlic and Fresh Herbs – $8.00

The P.E.I. Mussels that we were served seemed to be very undercooked, as many of the shells weren’t open. The mussels that had opened up were very nice. The dish doesn’t taste very fishy, and the mussels soak up the tomato flavor. The garlic toast served with this offering was very crispy and has a strong garlic taste. We rate this a 4 out of 7.

*NEW* Gulf Stream Brewing Company Sum of All Colors IPA, Ft. Lauderdale, FL (7.2% ABV) – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.

From correspondence with Gulf Stream Brewing Company: “Hoppy. Dark. Delicious. This black IPA is a complex mélange of dark roasted malts with a heavy dose of Amarillo, Chinook and Simcoe hops. It has a prominent piney bite with a light toasty aroma.”

*NEW* Tesselaarsdal Pinot Noir, South Africa ($47/bottle) – $11.00

According to Tesselaarsdal, this wine “displays a true reflection of fruit from the Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge. Layers of subtle notes of red cherries and raspberries with combined hints of cloves and baking spices.”
