Liquid Nitro Chocolate-Almond Truffle with Warm Whiskey Caramel, $5.25

The Liquid Nitro Truffle is still a delight and still on our absolute must list for the event for all the reasons we have been saying for years now. It’s served ice cold, has an amazing caramel sauce on top, and is one of the most unique desserts around. The liquid nitro is the serving method with a dollop of the chocolate-almond truffle being dropped-in to the vat of below freezing liquid nitro before being pulled out, smashed, and served to you. It’s cool, literally, and most importantly delicious.

For those who prefer a dark chocolate flavor, the raspberry torte is absolutely sublime. It’s a good alternative to the nitro truffle, or you can just get both. Indulge a little, it’s Food & Wine!

Twinings® Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea Frozen Cocktail with Caramel Vodka – $11.00

Epcot Food & Wine 2018 Frozen Chai with Caramel Vodka
Twinings® Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea Frozen Cocktail with Caramel Vodka, $11.00

This arrived at The Chocolate Studio in 2018, after being at the Ireland booth the previous year. We love this drink and have gotten it every year since it debuted. Twinings makes a great tea and mixing it with some cream and vodka makes it even better. It’s not necessarily a large portion for the price, but the flavor wins out in the end here. It tastes like fall!

Banfi Rosa Regale Sparkling Red, Piedmont, Italy ($21/bottle) – $10.00

Banfi Piemonte describes the aroma of their Rosa Regale Sparkling Red as “aromatic with hints of raspberries, strawberries and rose petals.” The taste is described as “fresh raspberries, with crisp acidity, enticing the palate with an initial softness, graduating to a clean and dry finish.”

Daou Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon, Paso Robles, CA ($26/bottle) – $7.00

From Daou Vineyards: “Blackberry, cassis, plum and currant aromas greet the nose, surrounded by black olives, anise, leather and cigar box. Notes of graphite and crushed stone mingle with just a hint of cool mint. Robust and full bodied, an undercurrent of restrained power is palpable just below the surface at the core of this wine. Firm, fine grained tannins provide ample backbone for the layers of boysenberry, black cherry, licorice and dried herb flavors. Meaty and fleshy while retaining an overall elegance, it finishes with authority and finesse.”

Croft Fine Ruby Port, Portugal ($15/bottle) – $5.00

From Croft: “Classic intense black fruit nose. Firm, vigorous, full-bodied palate, with fresh fruit flavours and a long finish.”
