Photos of Menu Items from The Donut Box at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival
*NEW* Candy Jar Donut made with M&M’S, SNICKERS, and TWIX – $5.00
All the donuts use the same bland and forgettable donut as a base. They are stale and dry. Not even the candy could save this donut.
*NEW* Sriracha-glazed Donut – $5.00
In addition to the poor-quality donut, this doesn’t even taste like sriracha. We cannot recommend this.
*NEW* Chef’s Donut of the Day – $5.00
There were two Donuts of the Day when we visited. The first one up is this Lemon Blueberry Donut, topped with lemon zest and blueberries. This donut was slightly better than the rest, but that’s not saying much. The balance of the cream and icing made it palatable.
There was also a Black Forest Donut, covered with a chocolate glaze, chocolate shavings and cherries. The cherry jelly is sickly sweet. The combination of the jelly and chocolate will send even the strongest sweet tooth running.
*NEW* The Donut Box: Pack of the 4 Daily Donuts – $16.00
For guests who want the full donut experience, The Donut Box offers up all four of the donuts available on the menu in a themed box, which saves a few dollars off the price.
*NEW* Crispy Chicken on a Sriracha-glazed Donut – $8.50
There’s no better way to put this: the sandwich is an abomination. The chicken is unpleasant, the donut is bad, and it’s as messy to eat as it looks. This is a disaster, do not order this.
Strawberry Smoothie – $5.00
The Strawberry Smoothie is delicious, creamy and smooth––everything you want from a smoothie. The milk does make the consistency very thin and runny, but that’s a minor oversight. The smoothie used to be served with a donut, but isn’t this year.
From Left Hand Brewing: “The coffee’s dark cherry flavors and spicy undertones weave into the rich milky sweet stout like a chocolate-covered espresso bean melting on your tongue. Bitter then sweet. Sweet then bitter. It’s bittersweet.”
Black and White Coffee Cocktail – $14.00
The Black and White Coffee Cocktail is by far my favorite from the offerings. The cocktail has Jim Beam bourbon whiskey and a vanilla liqueur mixed in with the iced coffee and they definitely stand out while drinking. There’s a slight burning from the alcohol when drinking this cocktail, however it takes nothing away from how delicious this drink is. Like the smoothie, this was previously garnished with a donut, but it seems this year the cocktail comes without it this year.
