*NEW* Belgian Waffle served with Warm Chocolate Ganache and Whipped Cream – $4.25
The chefs here are making waffles fresh to order making the price tag immediately worth it. There’s two varieties, here we have the chocolate ganache. The chocolate is ultra-rich and turns the waffle and whipped cream into a sweet wonderland.
*NEW* Belgian Waffle served with Berry Compote and Whipped Cream – $4.25
And this one is the berry compote version. There’s a much more prevalent topping on this waffle compared to the drizzle of chocolate. Both are really sweet and tasty, it comes down to personal preference. At $4.25 a piece, you really can’t go wrong with the freshly prepared waffles.
*NEW* Bananas Foster Waffle served with Whipped Cream – $4.25
The sauce was delicious and had the perfect sticky-sweet taste. The bananas were soft and perfectly cooked. The waffle overall has the perfect caramelized taste, without tasting burnt. The portion size is great, too. We basically licked the plate clean!
*NEW* Chicken and Waffle served with Bacon and Onion Jam with Sriracha Maple Syrup – $6.50
This chicken and waffle is topped with bacon, jam, and sriracha maple syrup. This dish was a great mix of salty and sweet. The jam helped further this flavor profile, too. The arugula gives a nice flavor on top without being overpowering. You can taste the sriracha, but it’s not spicy. The maple cools it down. The chicken does look pink inside at times, but we witnessed the chef speak with a guest about it, and he assured her that they temp cook the chicken and it is safe to eat. This is a really delicious and fun twist on the traditional chicken and waffles. We’ll be getting this dish every time we’re here from now on!
*NEW* Original Sin Brewery Black Widow Hard Cider, New York, NY (6.0% ABV) – $4.50 for 6 o.z., $8.50 for 12 o.z.
From Original Sin: “The black widow is fruit-forward, yet tart, with a tantalizing complexity, made with blackberries and freshly pressed New York apples.”
