We are back again at the Liberty Square Market to check out the latest progress on the brand new seating area. I never thought I would get this excited about pavement, but here we are.

Since our last update for the seating area, we noticed another layer of cement had been laid over the previous darker color pavement.

The colors of both the soon to be planter/fountain/statue now match the two walkways on either side of it. However, this is still most likely just the base for a different finish.

The previously bare winding pathway has gotten its first layer of concrete since we last checked in. The concrete is a gray color currently, but much like the other cemented areas, it will most likely receive a second white layer soon.

You can see the difference in the concrete shades as the winding pathway connects to the center area above. We are still very curious as to what the center of the seating area will materialize as. Hopefully, on our next update we will have an answer for you, or at least a more concrete theory. Pun Intended.

Till next time, we hope you enjoy the stroller parking here while it lasts. Soon, you’ll have a fancy new place to enjoy your colonial turkey legs, and ye olde hot dogs.

  1. Just poured Concrete is a medium to dark gray color. The winding path is still “wet”. It was poured overnight. The curing chemical reaction hasn’t consumed the water yet. It’s not an evaporation process. During the curing process, it will turn to an off-white color over several days. That means the center ring and left and right paths are several days old. Then as time goes on, it will slowly turn a light grey color.
