BREAKING: Several Walt Disney World Attractions Remain Closed Thanks to Hurricane Irma

Although the four Walt Disney World theme parks are reopening today, several attractions remained closed when the parks opened.

Magic Kingdom (Opened at 8 am 9/12/17):

  • Walt Disney World Railroad – Reopened on 9/16/17
  • Jungle Cruise
  • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad – Reopened at 9:10 am 9/12/17
  • Tom Sawyer Island
  • Liberty Square Riverboat

Animal Kingdom (Opened at 9 am 9/12/17):

  • Kilimanjaro Safaris – Reopened at 5:15 pm 9/12/17
  • Kali River Rapids
  • Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail – Reopened on 9/13/17
  • Maharajah Jungle Trek – Reopened on 9/13/17
  • Rafiki’s Planet Watch

It is not yet known how long they will remain closed, although cast members at Jungle Cruise are saying it could be up to a week.

As previously announced, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are also closed indefinitely.

UPDATE: Blizzard Beach reopened on 9/14/17.
