Even though we just posted a short while ago that one whole section of the Streets of America at Disney’s Hollywood Studios had been removed, progress has been made even since that time. One entire side of the street is now completely gone, as construction crews are actively working during park hours to remove the buildings. Watch the demolition crew in action below:

A wide open skyline now sits adjacent to Muppetvision 3-D and the Muppets Courtyard area. This was a very different scene just a few days ago.
R.I.P. Streets of America(New York Street) 1988(year before park opened, but built for filming)-2016(torn down for new areas) :( This area had a lot of good memories from my first time i went to Disney in 2005, met Kim Possible and her friend Ron there in 2007, got my little sister lost in the Honey I Shrunk the Kids play area, saw the Christmas lights there, and so much more. Good Bye Streets of America, good luck in Disney heaven

I was expecting to see a building coming down. Only a bulldozer barely shown behind the wall. They have a lot of New York buildings to remove.
Wow what a different look! Muppets Courtyard area was so boxed in before. It’s so weird to see it so open now!
The real tragedy is that now there is nowhere for the Osbourne Family lights to return too. Can we now start a petition to have the lights moved to Disney Springs?
