Today Marks the End of the Siemens & Disney Parks Sponsorship, Attractions Left Sponsor-less

Today, the “strategic partnership” between Siemens and the Walt Disney Company comes to an end officially. Siemens has released a statement summarizing the twelve years of the deal coming to a conclusion today:

When Siemens and Disney began to explore the mutual benefits and opportunities of forming one of the largest marketing alliances in the technology sector for the entertainment space, it was a natural fit. The two organizations have many share values such as Innovation, Service, and Quality as well as a worldwide brand presence. Since 2005, the opportunities to leverage this technology alliance extended across The Walt Disney Company including theme parks and resorts, studios, networks, publishing, and digital. On October 10, 2017, the Siemens-Disney Alliance reached a mutually agreed upon conclusion.

  1. That’s a big loss for Disney. I wonder if they’re in negotiations with any other company to sponsor Illuminations or Spaceship Earth.

  2. I really love Disney Parks, but lets be honest here. Disney has really made a mess of their theme parks, and the guests are getting so much less value, it’s really bad. If I had a company, I wouldn’t want my name anywhere NEAR Disney. It means cheap, poor value, used to be great, give the least possible and squeeze every dime out of them with giving as little in return. They run rides half capacity, barely open touchpoint to get in parks to save a few cast members,,,in the end..the guest gets shafted. Nothing any reasonable company like Siemens is going to want to be associated with. Much less pay for.

    • Even though I’m a big fan of Disney World, I have to agree with you on several points. I’ve been going to WDW since 1975 and I’ve seen many changes, some good but some not so good. It does seem over the last 10 years that Disney has increased prices substantially and reduced perks to their guests but I guess it doesn’t seem to matter since the parks are filled to capacity almost all year now!

    • Thank Yoda you don’t have a company! Because anyone who can say this load os crap can’t run nothing bigger than a hot dog cart.

    • If you hate Disney so much, why are you spending your time on a Disney World fan site? Sounds like someone loves the product, but doesn’t want to pay the price. Disney owes you nothing. If you want to attend Disney parks, you will (and I mean YOU WILL) pay whatever they decide to charge. Complain all you want, but if you are so unhappy with Disney parks, please…take your business elsewhere. You will not be missed in the lines.
