The popular Phantom Manor dark ride at Disneyland Paris closed to the public this week for a lengthy refurbishment.
An opening day attraction, Phantom Manor is a different version of the Haunted Mansion, one of three different versions of the attraction including Mystic Manor in Hong Kong Disneyland.
The dark ride is famous for having much darker themes than its predecessors and although being noticeably scarier to guests, is one of the more popular attractions at the Disneyland Paris Resort.
On January 8th, a video was released on the Disneyland Paris YouTube page about the refurbishment. The video is unique and quite scary and dark, evoking the main premise of the attraction.
It is also one of the few times a Disney park has released a video on an attraction refurbishment.

The attraction will reopen to guests this fall.
I’m so sad. I’m set to visit the Paris park in late August, and this is still going to be closed. This attraction was in the top 5 reasons I was making time to go. Maybe I’ll just spend more time at the Louvre or something instead. :(
