The Star Wars movies are big in Japan and, over the years, have spawned all sorts of merchandise. With the release of latest films, Bandai Hobby, a Japanese toy manufacturer, was inspired to create the Star Wars Character Line, a series of model kits inspired by characters from throughout the movies’ timeline.

Thanks to the distribution company Bluefin, these kits will start making their way over the United States beginning in May of this year, with additional characters being released throughout 2018. These models do not require glue or painting to assemble and once completed, will be fully articulated. And don’t fret if you can’t read Japanese, the official US releases will come with English instructions as well as product support from Bluefin.

The first releases for the Star Wars Character Line are:
- Darth Vader
- Boba Fett
- Stormtrooper
- C-3PO
- R2-D2 and R4-D5
- K-2SO
- Han Solo as a Stormtrooper
- Luke Skywalker as a Stormtrooper
- Shoretrooper
- Clone Trooper
- General Grievous
- Kylo Ren
- BB-8
- First Order Stormtrooper
The line will come in either 1/12, 1/6, or 1/2 scale but the first wave will all be 1/12 scale. The MSRP for these kits will range from $28 to 50.
