The rumored Club 33 location at the Magic Kingdom now has a new section of the building going vertical.
Rumor has it that this section will lead to an elevated verandah where members and their guests can view fireworks above Cinderella Castle.
The fountain that resided on the exterior of the building since 1971 doesn’t look to have survived the project.
There’s also a large, very visible crane on site now.
Walt Disney World plans to open a Club 33 location in each of the four theme parks, though they are yet to confirm any of those locations as of yet. The rumored locations include the Adventureland Veranda (seen above) at the Magic Kingdom, the upstairs lounge at the American Adventure in Epcot (nearly confirmed with our past post), the former Catwalk Bar at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (pretty much confirmed here), and a back room at Tiffins at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park. Memberships are currently being sold to Golden Oak residents only.
Since Club 33 will have a very limited base of people who can afford its exorbitant cost…what is the fascination with it in the WDW parks?
It is just another way the rich can flaunt their wealth in the face of us regular folk. I find it detestable that these “clubs” are allowed to exist on the Disney property, and it is vulgar that there is possibly a veranda that provides them a viewing area to look down on the masses.
I can’t wait for the very niche complaining when the quality of the food and service doesn’t live up to the price.
I’m thinking this will be an epic fail. In California, with silicone valley, and lack of much competition Club 33 works. Elite and affluent don’t do Disney much in Orlando. It’s very poorly run and ‘cheap’ for lack of a better word. They go for quantity over quality.
Pretty sure these clubs will be tucked away and not “in your face…look at me !” They will not interfere with the experience of any Disney guest… so why all the negativity and hate? The whole “ if I can’t have it…then why should anyone” mentality is getting tiresome. To each their own.
