Disney and PerBlue have announced Disney Heroes: Battle Mode, an all-new action role-playing game for mobile devices.
Disney Heroes: Battle Mode brings characters from both Disney and Pixar universes together to engage in 5v5 match-ups to battle it out. The game includes popular properties like Wreck-It Ralph, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Incredibles, Zootopia, and many more.
Vice president of games at Disney said the following about the partnership between Disney and PerBlue:
“Disney Heroes: Battle Mode brings together Disney and Pixar characters in an all-new, original universe. PerBlue has done a great job of bringing our characters to life in authentically Disney ways, and players will be surprised and delighted as they mix and match hero team-ups.”
Here are a few key highlights of the game:
- Over 30 characters from Disney and Pixar worlds
- Mission and friend campaigns that team up characters to fight together to earn bonuses.
- A digital world setting where characters from different universes have to join forces to stop a virus from spreading.
- Gear, abilities, and skills, to enhance gameplay and add replayability. Whether it’s leveling up, equipping new gear, or activating a Super Skill, there are tons of ways to increase your character’s strengths to take on bigger enemies.

PerBlue CEO, Justin Beck, had the following to say in regards to the first PerBlue game using Disney-licensed properties:

Pre-registration is available now on Google Play. Those that pre-register will receive a free hero of their choosing at launch. Available heroes to choose from include:
- Mr. Incredible
- Fix-It Felix, Jr.
- Nick Wilde
- Jessie
- Sulley with Boo
Disney Heroes: Battle Mode will release on iOS and Android later this year.
