REVIEW: Rose Gold Macaron at the Disneyland Resort

Move over Rose Gold Churros, there’s a new pink delight in town! Introducing the Rose Gold Macaron!

That’s right: the rose gold trend is still alive and well. This sweet treat definitely helps bridge the gap that’s been forming since the appearance of millennial pink at the Resort (hinted in the bow of the macaron.)

Spotted: Rose Gold Macaron mingling with a pair of Millennial Pink Minnie Ears

Since the release of this new metallic pink treat, lines have been out the door at both Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe in Disneyland Park and Clarabelle’s Hand Scooped Ice Cream in Disney California Adventure.

After waiting for about 40 minutes for this confection, was it worth it? Quite possibly. It’s served secured to a shiny gold plate, which honestly eased my fears of dropping the fragile dessert within moments of receiving it.

The delicate shell of the macaron is a classic French almond flavor and it isĀ filled with dollops of strawberry compote and lemon verbena butter cream.Ā I really appreciate the rosey sheen that covers the Instagram-worthy cookie. The adorable treat is topped off with a pink and chocolate Minnie bow and metallic sprinkles.

Second breakfast anyone?

The flavors are light and compliment each other very well. It’s a perfect spring snack to be enjoyed at any time of day. If you find yourself in the park craving a sweet treat with a subtle fruit flavor—definitely pick one of these beauties up! (Rose Gold ears and Spirit Jersey: optional)
