The summer Disney twenty-three issue will take readers behind the scenes of 2018’s biggest Disney movies, like Avengers: Infinity War, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Incredibles 2, and more.
First up, you get an exclusive interview with Avengers: Infinity War directors Anthony and Joe Russo, along with Scarlett Johansson, Zoe Saldana, and Sebastian Stan. A stunning piece of artwork by Marvel’s Ryan Meinerding is also included that covers 14 of the MCU’s most prominent characters. Next up, read up on the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story with interview comments from director Ron Howard and star Alden Ehrenreich, as they discuss taking on the role of Han Solo.
Craig T. Nelson (voice of Mr. Incredible) talks about taking on the role of a stay-at-home dad in Incredibles 2, and Edna Mode provides her list of best-dressed Disney characters. Enjoy a funny interview with Ant-Man and the Wasp director Peyton Reed, as well as get some insight from Evangeline Lilly on what it’s like co-starring with Paul Rudd. Rounding out the interviews, Ewan McGregor goes into portraying the role of a grown-up Christopher Robin, and the struggles that come with attempting to reestablish a relationship with Pooh and the crew once again.
In the television department, the latest issue also offers a first-look at Freeform’s Disney’s Fairytale Weddings, a show about getting married at Disney Parks and Resorts. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Mulan, actress Ming-Na Wen shares her memories of making the film. She also provides her shared perception between Mulan and Agent Melinda May, Wen’s current role on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
