Respawn Entertainment has announced that their upcoming Star Wars game is called Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Respawn CEO Vince Zampella made the announcement during the EA Play press conference and confirmed that the events of the game take place between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.
Details are scarce at the moment, but Zampella did mention that the game is set during “dark times” when Jedi are being hunted by Darth Vader and the Empire. Players will take the role of a Padawan survivor of Order 66 and will indeed be able to wield a lightsaber.
While no trailer or screenshots were shared, Zampella did reveal that the game is set to release holiday 2019.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was first announced during E3 2016 as a third-person action game from the creators of Titanfall.
