This week, runDisney France released images of the new medals that participants at the Disneyland Magic Run Weekend 2018 will receive. This year, the events will last from September 20 to September 23. The 5K will be held on September 21, the 10K as well as the Kids Races on September 22, and the Half Marathon on September 23. This year, participants can also do the 31K, 36K, and Castle to Chateau Challenges. The event is themed to villains. Take a look at the medals below!
First the medal for the Kids Races, feauturing Stitch.
The 5K will be themed to Marvel Villains (the season Marvel Summer of Super Heroes is still there in September) and the medal features Thanos with the Infinity Stones.
At the 10K, in both parks, more villain sidekicks are appearing. On the medal are Pain and Panic form Hercules. The image is a screenshot form a video, so pardon us for the subtitles!
After running the Half Marathon, you have seen a lot of villains, but Mickey appears on the medal.
The challenge medals feature Maleficent. The 31K will have her head, while the 36K will feature her head in dragon form. This last one is inspired by the Maleficent float from the Festival of Fantasy Parade (Walt Disney World) and Disney Stars on Parade (Disneyland Paris).
Last but not least, there is the Castle to Chateau Challenge. You will receive this medal if you have completed the Half Marathon in Paris, and a half or whole marathon in Walt Disney World.
What do you think about these medals? Will you running in Paris this September to take one (or more) home? Packages are still available on the official website!
