Sony’s “Venom” Scores Big At The Box Office

wdewde

Despite the negative reviews by the majority of film critics, it could not stop the powerhouse that is “Venom” nor keep the fans away from the box office. This weekend “Venom” brought in a whopping $80 million for the domestic box office. Overseas, “Venom” brought in an additional $125 million, bringing its global box office total to $205 million.

“Venom” has a a score of 32% over at Rotten Tomatoes and a score of 35 at Metacritic. What does this mean? It sometimes does not matter what critics think of a film if it has a built in audience, like the “Transformers” movies. So even if “Venom” does have a huge dip next weekend, we can expect an inevitable sequel to the movie, which will probably bring in another fan favorite, Carnage. Lets hope they at least have someone with intelligence to maybe bring in Spider-Man? Still wont see a Venom movie without Spider-Man, even though I regretted seeing the one where they were both in the same movie together. Remember that one?

Mark Ruffalo Slips Up, Again, And Seemingly Reveals The Title For “Avengers 4”

rfeeefref

I have been saying this for a while now, we need a new actor to play The Hulk. Mark Ruffalo is at it again and has possibly let it slip will talking with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show that the title for the next Avengers movie is called “Annihilation”. Ruffalo realized his mistake before the episode aired and asked Fallon to bleep out what he had said. Apparently some very good lip readers seemed to believe that Ruffalo was saying the word “Annihilation”.

The Russo Brothers promptly responded to Mark:

This could be one of three things. It could be completely false and just Ruffalo messing with Marvel fans. This could be all set up by Marvel and Ruffalo to make it appear that he accidentally slipped up and revealed the title of the movie. Or it could be that Ruffalo just is not that bright and doesn’t know to keep his mouth shut.

If you look at Ruffalo’s past, its not the first time he has slipped up. A year before “Avengers: Infinity War” was released, he revealed during an interview that “everybody dies at the end”. And while at the premier for “Thor: Ragnarok”, he left the camera on his phone running while the movie was playing and streamed the first 15 minutes of the film. So if you are planning a surprise party for someone, dont tell Mark Ruffalo.

Chris Evans Says Goodbye To Captain America. Say It Isn’t So!

eweddw

Chris Evans tweeted to his fans that he had officially filmed his last scene as Captain America for “Avengers 4”.

rfferf

So what does this mean? Is this the end for Chris Evans and Captain America? Well, nothing is official, except that he finished filming his part for “Avengers 4”, but it does seem that he may be saying goodbye to the character and thanking everyone for supporting him in the role.

Does that mean that Captain America will die in “Avengers 4”? Possibly. I mean, how do you top the ending of “Avengers: Infinity War”? Killing of a major character, or characters, could be something that would shock audiences. And if anyone, Cap seems like the one character that is willing to sacrifice himself  for the greater good.

But, this could also be a way for Chris Evans to begin a new contract negotiation with Marvel Studios. Chris Evans is a huge fan favorite when it comes to the MCU and no one wants to see him go. So hopefully this is not an end, but a new beginning for Chris Evans as Captain America. This boy deserves to be paid.

Spider-Man And Nick Fury Spotted In “Spider-Man: Far From Home” Photos

It looks like Spider-Man and Nick Fury will be working together in the upcoming Spider-Man sequel, “Spider-Man: Far From Home”. These photos were taken in Venice, Italy. We are still in the dark about how both Spider-Man and Nick Fury come back after the events from “Avengers: Infinity War” but it seems like the sequel to Infinity War will have a happy ending and bring those back from the dead. Some of them.

Spider-Man Has A New Costume In “Spider-Man: Far From Home”

collagedcsdcd

It looks like Spider-Man will be getting a new costume in “Spider-Man: Far From Home” and it definitely looks very similar to the Spider-Man Noir suit.

More than likely, this will just be a homage to Spider-Man Noir suit since that character takes place in an alternate universe. But the new suit does appear to be a black suit with goggles that glow at night and if you look at the comparison above, it is pretty close to the comic book version of the Noir suit.

That’s it for this time!

    • That’s what someone found out by using editing software to remove the bleep. The theory is that the whole rant on the Tonight Show was just a gag and the supposed title is just a riff off of “The Last Jedi”.
