An Update on the New Downtown Disney District Ballast Point Brewery at Disneyland Resort

Disneyland enthusiasts and fine craft brew aficionados embarked upon the realization of a dream with the announcement of a Disneyland Resort Ballast Point location earlier this year. Construction continues on the Downtown Disney District family-friendly tap house and eatery, which appears on pace to meet its target opening this fall.

In a brand new post, Disney Parks Blog reveals this location will indeed be an authentic brewery, crafting Ballast Point favorites right on site. The first of its kind within the resort, the venue will include a tasting room, outdoor beer garden, kitchen, and three-barrel brewing facility.

It is not surprising to find Sculpin–Ballast Point’s de facto flagship–will be copiously involved, though it’s wonderful to see it confirmed. True to the evolution of quality gastropubs, Ballast Point chefs shall bring an impressive lineup of exquisite locally inspired fare to compliment their award winning brews. There shall be seasonal selections to keep guests coming back, a Disney specialty, as well as items exclusive to the Downtown Disney District location.

A number of signature dishes and craft compliments were revealed: CA Kolsch and Black Marlin BBQ Flatbread, Vegan Lettuce Cups, Duck Confit Nachos and a blessed lineup of IPAs.

There is already a wealth of fine food and excellent local beer throughout Disneyland Resort. With the confluence of the two, under this particular roof, backed by combined Disney and Ballast Point creativity, ought to make this an immediate and lasting favorite.

In the spirit of family inclusiveness, gluten-free options, vegetarian dishes, and a children’s menu will be available.
