We are getting our first look at the ride car for a new Guardians of the Galaxy coaster set to open in Epcot.
The first image of the cars were presented Wednesday at IAAPA in Orlando and were posted on Twitter shortly after.
The woman who posted the photo to Twitter said the Guardians coaster is being described as a “storytelling coaster and each car will be programmed to point riders in the direction of elements throughout the course of the ride.”
Bob Chapek said the building for the ride will be large enough to fit four Spaceship Earths inside.
Photos of the design for the cars were leaked earlier on WDWNT from the Vekoma’s testing facilities.
Disney also recently filed a patent for the ride that would allow for the cars to rotate on an axis during the course of the ride.
The Guardians of the Galaxy coaster is expected to open sometime in 2021.
Dang, I don’t see any over the head type harness, like Aerosmith. So this won’t be going upside down at all unfortunately.
