Today, “Disney Parks Presents a 25 Days of Christmas Holiday Party” will debut on the DisneyNOW app as well as on December 1 at 8 p.m. EST on Disney Channel.
The half-hour special will get you in the holiday mood and features appearances and performances from fan-favorite Disney Channel stars. These stars include Ruby Rose Turner, Dakota Lotus (Disney Channel’s Coop & Cami Ask the World), Kylee Russell, Meg Donnelly (Disney Channel Original Movie “ZOMBIES”), Sadie Stanley (Disney Channel Original Movie “Kim Possible”), and Sean Giambrone (Disney Channel Original Movie “Kim Possible,” ABC’s “The Goldbergs”).
During the show, Stanley and Giambrone will take viewers behind the scenes of Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. At the Academy, you will be able to step right into the world of Disney•Pixar’s “Cars.”
We reported on the announcement of this brand new, high-octane show earlier this year. It will open in the park’s Sunset Showcase in Spring 2019 as part of the overall transformation of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
In the Academy, you’ll take on the role of rookie racer. As you cruise into the theater, you’ll find yourself face-to-face with Lightning McQueen, appearing live on stage. McQueen and the entire audience will be surrounded by a giant, wraparound screen that is nearly two stories tall and stretches more than 200 feet from end to end, pulling everyone into the action! Lightning McQueen is excited to show us what he’s learned over the years, including that things don’t always go exactly as you think they will, and he has to think fast to get back on course. We’ll see characters like Tow Mater, Cruz Ramirez, and Lightning’s friends from Radiator Springs giving their support, as Lightning gears up for this challenge.
Disney Parks Live Entertainment is working closely with the creative team at Pixar Animation Studios to bring this new “Cars” story to life. We’ll be sure to bring you any news about this new experience as it becomes available before the Spring 2019 opening.
Be sure to catch the behind-the-scenes look at the attraction in the “Disney Parks Presents a 25 Days of Christmas Holiday Party” starting today on the DisneyNOW app and airing December 1 at 8 p.m. EST on Disney Channel.
Don’t waste your time everyone. I just watched the segment on the app for the special and they didn’t show diddly.
