This morning, the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Parade gave us our first look inside the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge attractions, Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, with guests on board:
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will mark the largest, most immersive attraction in the theme park division’s 63-year history.
Above we see an Imperial officer with the transport vehicles that guests will ride in.
Above, we see 8 guests seated in one vehicle, guided by an Astromech Droid mounted on the front.
AT-AT walkers shoot at the transports.
On Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, guests man the cockpit of the famous vessel with everyone taking on a role.
Based on the above image, there appears to be 6 seats in each cockpit.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens summer 2019 at Disneyland Park, and fall 2019 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The Seating arrangement as shown today for Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run appears to have two primo seats and four turkeys where most of your view consists of the seat directly in front. There does appear to be a small height gradient, but the front row looks like the place to be! Hopefully riding will be better!
It’s another simulator “ride”. You get bumped around while watching a screen. Like Soaring or the Avatar ride. What a waste. At least they could have made it into a real coaster or something that moves.
Can’t wait for both of these.
thank you mr. corless to you & your staff for all you do hands down the best blog today. happy new year !!!
