This Linzer cookie was pretty delightful. The shortbread cookies are buttery and crisp. The chocolate bow is a cute touch and is a nice addition. While traditionally the filling in a linzer cookie is either jam or preserve, this one is jelly. I generally prefer jam or preserves, but the jelly works in this one and probably allows the cookie to stay fresher longer. I took part of mine home and it was still just as delicious the next day! The flavor of the jelly holds up to the shortbread cookies without overpowering them.

You can’t go wrong with this Linzer Cookie! It’s everything a Linzer Cookie should be and it’s adorable too!
