The partnership from Disney and Lego have brought us some great Minifigures and sets in the past years, and this new Collectible Series is sure to be a hit with fans when it is released on May 1st!

The new set includes 18 Disney Characters from every era. We already know about Steamboat Willie Mickey as a minifigure in his Lego Ideas Set that came to life recently. A black and white Minnie joins him. Other characters include Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey and Louie from DuckTales, Chip and Dale, Princess Jasmine and Jafar from Aladdin, Hercules and Hades, Queen Elsa and Princess Anna from Frozen, Jack Skellington and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Edna Mode and Frozone from The Incredibles films.

Personally, I’m excited for the Hercules one, since he can join Aladdin in my collection of Disney Renaissance heroes. Aladdin and Genie are available already in the previous Disney Series of Collectible Minifigures. According to the website, they have since been retired, however if you keep your eyes peeled, you can usually spot some around the internet.

Those not familiar with the Blind Bag series of Lego Minifigures Collections, they come as individual blind bags, meaning you don’t know which one you are going to get. Each Minifigure comes with a prop of some kind as well as a unique headpiece, so if you feel around in the bag, you can usually pinpoint which characters are in it. They are reported to sell for $3.99 USD each starting on May 1st exclusively on the Lego Shop online store.
