Tickets for “Avengers: Endgame went on sale Tuesday, and if you had trouble purchasing tickets, you were not alone. Online ticket sites faced numerous problems meeting the demand of so many movie goers wanting to purchase tickets for “Avengers: Endgame” for the opening weekend. Sites such as AMC, Fandango, and Atom Tickets told consumers that due to the high amount of purchase requests for “Avengers: Endgame” to please have patience and to try again if their request was not met. Many ticket buyers tried for hours to secure their seats for the opening night of April 25th.

From AMC:

The good news for Disney and Marvel is that according to Fandango, “Avengers: Endgame” broke the record for pre-sale ticket purchases for a movie in a single day, which was previously held by “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”. And instead of 24 hours, “Avengers: Endgame” only needed 6 hours to break the record.
