Monsters, Inc. is coming to the Disney+ streaming service and in a whole new way! “Monsters at Work”, an animated series set six months after the original movie will feature the entire original voice cast, including John Goodman as Sulley, and Billy Crystal as Mike Wazowski, John Ratzenberger as the Yeti, Jennifer Tilly as Celia (yes, she’s back!) and Bob Peterson as Roz… and her twin sister Roze.
That’s right, there are new characters in the animated series: Tylor Tuskmon, voiced by Ben Feldman, is an eager and talented young mechanic at the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team (MIFT) who dreams of working his way up to the Laugh Floor to become a Jokester like his idols Mike and Sulley. His lifelong friend and confidante, Val Little, will be voiced by Kelly Marie Tran.
Other characters include Henry Winkler as Fritz, the scatterbrained boss; Lucas Neff as Duncan, an opportunistic plumber; Alanna Ubach as Cutter, the rule follower; Stephen Stanton as Smitty and Needleman, the bumbling custodial team, and Aisha Tyler as Tylor’s mom Millie Tuskmon.
Monsters at Work is produced by Disney Television Animation and was developed and produced by Bobs Gannaway (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse).
Disney is set to announce plans for the streaming platform during an investor presentation this Thursday. The family-focused streaming service is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2019, with the “Monsters at Work” series set to premiere in 2020.
