Nicknamed the mouse droid, the MSE is a nimble courier that delivers secure point-to-point communiqués. MSEs are also used for simple maintenance tasks including floor polishing and spot welding.
… and holding popcorn, apparently.
Deep within the Merchant Row district and adjacent to Black Spire Outfitters is Kat Saka’s Kettle, a colorful snack shop where grains from all over the galaxy are on display. This is your one-stop spot for Outpost Popcorn Mix, Aurebesh Coca-Cola products, and yes, you can even adopt your very own MSE-6 Series Repair Droid as a vessel for your snacks. We found the first sighting of the mouse droid popcorn bucket nestled within some B-roll press footage that Disney released post-media embargo:
Guests must find their way to Kat Saka’s within the merchant hub.
You’ll know you’re there once you come across this symbol for grains.
This chamber keeps the Outpost Mix warm and toasty for patrons.
And here’s the mouse droid popcorn bucket everyone’s been dying to see. It comes with a little hinged top that you can flip open to pop in a bag of Outpost Mix, as well as a carrying strap.
We won’t know whether the wheels work till we’ve made it inside, but we’re hoping they do, because it’ll add that much more fun and purpose to the bucket. (Purpose as in being able to use it to wheel around small pets or plush.)
The carrying strap seems to be just plain brown in these shots, but they may have worked in some kind of pattern or design to the final item.
Pricing is now available online for all restaurants and food stands, and while the online menu for Kat Saka’s doesn’t include the popcorn bucket, social media reports state that the bucket will cost $19.99.
Will you be heading over to Kat Saka’s Kettle for your very own mouse droid bucket?
