Disneyland, Walt Disney World July Pin Releases Include “The Lion King”, Happy Birthday Disneyland, a Galaxy’s Edge Countdown, and More

Disney Pin Collectors and Traders, clutch your wallets tight. Disney has shared a look at this month’s pin releases and it’s an incredible lineup of must-have pins with new Pins of the Month, Disney Renaissance character pins, and a celebration of the release of the live-action The Lion King.

There’s a great range of characters represented in this month’s pin releases, featuring cute and colorful character duos Hercules and Pegasus, Oliver and Dodger, and Mowgli and Baloo. July 11 will see the release of a special, celebratory “Happy Birthday Disneyland” pin, with a big 64 candle on the cake in honor of the park’s anniversary on July 17. We can see more Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge pins due to be released on July 18, featuring the First Order Reconnaissance Stromtroopers, Han Solo and Droid Schematic K-2SO. If gaming-inspired pins are more your jam, the “I Heart Gaming” console design this month features Pocahontas, and the “Kingdom Consoles” Talespin. In celebration of the release of Disney’s live action The Lion King on July 19, a wild limited-release pin is due on July 18th. Finally, the mystery pin set of the month looks like it will all fit together as a jigsaw, featuring what appears to be the entire cast of Mulan!

We can see here that many of the Walt Disney World pins are the same as the Disneyland releases, including that beautiful The Lion King live-action commemorative pin. However, the countdown to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios  is officially on, with a countdown pin due to be released on July 25. This pin depicts the adorable BB-8 posing in front of the Millennium Falcon in Batuu, enjoying the land we all can’t wait to explore! Finally, and matching the droid theme, the “Magic of Honor” medallion pin of the month is celebrating Star Tours, featuring R2D2.
