While a new entrance area, Experience Center, and more has already been announced for the massive overhaul of Epcot, Disney has remained quiet about the future of Innoventions Plaza and the center of Future World since showing off some very early concept art at the 2017 D23 Expo.
Well, tonight’s the night, because at D23 Expo’s media preview, they’ve just released a slew of details, models, and concept art for Project Gamma.

As we first mentioned in our original Project Gamma post back in April, the presence of a water maze area, known as Journey of Water, has now been confirmed. The final component of the reimagined Epcot is a trail called Journey of Water, leading down towards The Seas with Nemo and Friends pavilion. This trail will reportedly consist of a number of water features and will also be a child-friendly experience.
The attraction’s poster features the goddess Te Fiti and a family walking through, interacting with the various water elements.
As you could probably tell, the Journey of Water attraction is inspired by the film Moana.
If you’ll notice on the bottom of the attraction poster, there’s the brand-new Epcot logo also revealed. It matches up perfectly with our earlier reveal of the new Epcot manhole covers back from June.
Does anyone know when this will all be finished and done by?! Just curious…
