As we get closer to the official opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge (although we have already been inside), we notice many of the current construction projects at Disney’s Hollywood Studios are moving along quickly in an effort to be ready in time. The new security checkpoint expansion is showing a lot of progress, in fact, it looks just about finished.
A peek over the fecne reveals that work is nearly complete. They’re just cleaning up now.
With all that is new matching the old style, guests may not even realize that anything was changed here.
The walls came down and planters went up as a large section of pavement behind the security screening area opened to guests this week.
Metal detectors and tables are staged, waiting to be rolled over to their screening stations any day now. This could open as early as tomorrow, honestly.
The security expansion and changes around the entrance of Hollywood Studios are going to be greatly appreciated in the next few months. Thankfully, everything seems to be moving along quickly and should be ready any day now.
