Hold on tight Beaches & Cream fans, the expansion of everyone’s favorite soda shop is officially underway and has taken over Lafferty Place Arcade at Disney’s Beach Club Resort at the Walt Disney World Resort. We’re one step closer to enjoying a kitchen sink again!
As you can see from the pictures below, construction walls now envelop the exterior of the soda shop, while the adjacent arcade space has been sized down considerably with the help of some black curtains, meaning the possibility of more seating for us to satisfy our ice cream needs and desires is high.
Construction walls now wrap around the entrance to Beaches & Cream. At least they match the building’s exterior.
We still don’t know if the soda shop’s iconic signage will remain after the refurbishment.
While the refurbishment is underway, be sure to head on to the temporary location inside of Ariel’s for your ice cream fix.
The Lafferty Place Arcade will be open limited hours while the construction is taking place. You can visit between 10AM-11PM until October 4th 2019, instead of the usual 6AM-12AM.
The Beaches & Cream Soda Shop expansion closed the shop on August 26th this year and is set to reopen towards the end of 2019 with no official date being set as of right now. WDWNT will update you as soon as a date is announced.
