Here we are again, back at Disneyland! The park is packed for the Halloween season, wait times are high, and entertainment is out amusing guests all over the park. Let’s take a look at everything!
First thing you see on Main Street if you enter from the right side is the current Opera House renovation. For a week there were blank walls up, but now you can see there is a replica of the exterior printed onto a scrim that goes all the way to the top of the building.
Also on Main Street today was Mickey and his pals in the “Mickey and Friends Band-Tastic Cavalcade.” For a limited time, you can watch characters stroll down Main Street U.S.A behind the talented Disneyland Band. You can clap and dance along while watching them dance down the street to jazzy music.
Some characters you might be able to catch are Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, along with Donald Duck, Goofy, and Pluto. Other pals you will be able to watch are Daisy Duck, Chip and Dale, as well as Mary Poppins and her penguins.
Behind Mary and her penguins, Thumper, Rabbit, Pooh, Eeyore, and Max followed along.
Br’er Fox stopped to say hello to a Cast Member. It’s so awesome to see him in this parade. In the back of this picture, you can additionally see Koda, from Brother Bear, and Robin Hood.
Tweedledee and Tweedledum brought in the rear of the parade. This parade will only be at Disneyland till November 7th, so see it while you can!
Disneyland Band is also preforming around four times a day, outside the parade. They can viewed at the main entrance, in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, Town Square, and in Frontierland.
The band played early in the morning in the front of Frontierland this morning, before the crowds hit.
There was also a magician out in front of The Golden Horseshoe Saloon today preforming coin and card tricks. He seemed to draw a lot of people in. He’s one of the recent additions after the cancellation of Laughing Stock Company performances.
Around 11am, the park was starting to fill up.
The line for Pirates was all the way to the French Market eating area. The wait time was 45 minutes, but people said they had been waiting longer.
This line did not help with the congestion of the walkways in New Orleans Square.
The Haunted Mansion Holiday wait was at 75 minutes around noon. The line for this attraction was also flowing into the walkways, making it miserable to navigate through.
The wait to meet Jack and Sally in New Orleans Square was 30 minutes. This has been a very popular meet and greet this Halloween season.
Rapunzel made her way through Fantasyland with not much of a crowd, which was surprising with how many people were in this area.
As you can see, there was a small army of strollers sitting in Toontown today. More importantly, the green rolling mountains are gone in preparation for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
Many families sat and watched the Tangled show in the Royal Theatre.
There’s also a Beauty and The Beast show that is performed in the same theater.
Tomorrowland walls seem to be extending towards the castle more and more every day.
At 9:30 pm, we saw the “Halloween Screams” nighttime spectacular. The show presents projections of villains on the castle and is accompanied by spooky music. The show is hosted by the one and only Jack Skellington.
The Pirates of the Caribbean portion seemed to be a fan favorite.
Jack’s pet Zero flew across the night sky at the beginning and end of the show.
That wraps up another photo report from Disneyland Park. Check back for more updates!
I get there tomorrow afternoon, straight from Colorado – can’t wait! Lunch in Galaxy’s Edge if we’re lucky. Party in DCA tomorrow night, yeah!
Long term they will have to do something about the crowd flow around Pirates/French Quarter. That’s a Fire Marshal disaster during busy times!
