Bonfamille’s Cafe lives on, sort of. Scat Cat’s Club – Café has had its grand opening at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter! The table service location, Bonfamille’s Cafe, closed August 5, 2000, and has only been used for holiday meals and during the refurbishment of Sassagoula Floatworks in 2016.
Scat Cat’s Club – Café features live music Thursday through Monday from 7 PM to 11 PM in a relaxed lounge setting. The food and drink menu is the same as Scat Cat’s Club, but you get to sit in the nearly untouched interior of what was Bonfamille’s Cafe!
We were there today when Disney literally cut the ribbon on the expansion to Scat Cat’s Club, which will bring more food options to the French Quarter. Let’s take a look!
A look from the ribbon cutting ceremony!
You can enter Scat Cat’s Club – Café from either the lobby of the resort or from Scat Cat’s Club itself.
Upon entering, you are greeted by the bar of course! It is located behind a wall that separates it from the main area with the stage.
You can see that the main area of Scat Cat’s Club – Café is quite large, offering more options to sit down and grab a bite to eat at the French Quarter. All tables seem to have a good view of the stage, as well.
The stage looks to have space for four to five performers, which perform Thursday through Monday from 7 PM to 11 PM.
The interior of Scat Cat’s Club – Café is really nice!
Let’s take a look at the menu!
As you can see, the menu is basically the same as Scat Cat’s Club.
What do you think of the brand new Scat Cat’s Club – Café?
Disappointed that there aren’t any vegan options listed on the menu. Especially after their big PR/media campaign about adding vegan items to most locations. Big miss.
The original Port Orleans Resort (French Quarter) was one of my first ever WDW stays.
And for a couple decades I’ve been kinda bummed because the area where Bonfamille’s was has been just a wasted space.
So glad to see Scat Cat’s expand into that area.
I love having drinks at both the Port Orleans Resorts, but when Yee-Haw Bob is performing at Riverside’s River Roost, I’m looking elsewhere. I know a lot of people love him, but he’s not my style.
Scat Cat’s has always been the perfect mellow alternative.
To be a NOLA-themed bar, you would think they would feature classic cocktails made famous by the French quarter….I don’t see any Sazerac, Vieux Carre, French 75, Ramos Gin Fizz, etc. Seems half-assed to me
saw video of new band..epic fail..they didnt know their notes, mistakes all over, voice is awful on the singer…I assume disney put this band together from amateur cast menbers on the cheap..
New music is terrible. Use to spend 3 hours being entertained, Now one drink and out. No longer available are the best hot wings on property. Expanded area is great but not worth spending much time in
