Newly-appointed Walt Disney World Resort President Josh D’Amaro has just shared an exclusive first look inside the recently remodeled Beaches & Cream Soda Shop restaurant at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. The restaurant closed months ago for construction, and while we got a peek at some new concept art not too long ago, this is the first we’ve seen from inside the restaurant, which is sporting a refreshed look.
D’Amaro shared some ice cream with Cast Members at the location. Many of the over-the-top shakes, and of course the Kitchen Sink will be making a triumphant return to the menu.

In the background, you can see that the walls are lined with new character artwork. The windows are still lined with dark plastic covers to avoid any guests from peeking in ahead of the official grand opening.
What do you think of the new look for the restaurant? While some of the beach balls have returned in pastel form, there’s a dire lack of ice cream sconces, and the jukebox, which was slated to return, is missing from any of these shots. We’ll just have to wait and see on Thursday for a full tour.
If you’re feeling nostalgic for the sock hop style of the old Beaches & Cream, make sure to check out our photo tour here and video tour below:
How about some photos of the restaurant so we can see the new look? Instead we get photos of servers eating ice cream…brilliant!
We didn’t take them, they were posted by an executive on Instagram.
