Bright suns from Batuu! The highly anticipated attraction Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction will be opening in Galaxy’s Edge on December 5th. If you were planning on stopping by Batuu the evening of December 4th, you may be disappointed. The land will be closed to the general public from 4PM onward for a special media event to celebrate the opening of the attraction. The attraction will be dedicated during this event, and the ceremony will be live-streamed on YouTube for all to see. Even though the media event is a few days away, preparations were already underway at Hollywood Studios.
In front of the Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple stage, promos were being filmed for Spanish-language television.
Once in Galaxy’s Edge, the entire area surrounding Rise of the Resistance was off limits to guests for filming purposes. Cast Members made a barricade around the area, blocking any curious guests from getting in.
Camera gear was being transported around Galaxy’s Edge.
Lots of event Cast Members were standing in front of the attraction’s entrance.
Carts with camera gear and tech equipment were all around.
Someone was getting their make-up touched up by Resistance Supply.
Cast Members had traffic signs out, directing guest to keep right… AKA away from the filming site.
A Cast Member was also controlling entry into the main entrance of Black Spire Outpost.
A media team was also spotted working within Black Spire Outpost.
The anticipation waiting for Rise of the Resistance is killing us. We cannot wait to experience this new attraction. We hope it lives up to all the hype.

Whooo, that’s one heck of a Tweet!
I looked this morning and I don’t see where FastPasses are available for this (or for anything in Batuu, for that matter). Has Disney not opened up FPs yet for Galaxy’s Edge yet?
Not yet nor anytime soon
