Work on the refurbishment of the Transportation and Ticket Center has been steadily reaching towards the finish line. Today, we noticed some notable changed at the site.
Guests who arrive at the Magic Kingdom parking lot are still using the two walkway “bridges” through the tunnel.
There were several workers attaching siding to the roof structure over what will eventually become the new security screening checkpoints. Lights underneath were also added this week while tables were visible as well.
Large swaths of cement have been poured recently. We can also see several lamp post bases in place at equivalent intervals.
Work on the new planters underneath the monorail lines has also progressed, with the cement surrounding them starting to fill in as well.
Multiple utility line pipes and various other forms of construction equipment have also been moved in to help with the work.
Farther down, we can see the beginning of the new tram turnaround point beginning to form. Planter walls are in place and paving continues to progress.
Stay tuned to WDWNT for the latest updates on this and other projects around the parks.
I was hoping that the tram areas will be undercover.
