PHOTOS: Entrance Construction Making Progress (New Security Screening Area, Fountain Work, Gateway Gifts Breezeway Repaving) at EPCOT

Work on the renovation of EPCOT’s main entrance is motoring into high gear. Today, we stopped by to see the latest changes to the park entrance.

Work on the new security structure on the east entrance side continues to rise quickly.

The support beams have gone vertical this week, and today, we could see that the cement has been poured for them.

Posts for the green fencing that will line the exit are also in place now.

Work on repaving the entrance on the east side continues to move forward while utility lines also continue to be installed.

Inside the park, work to remove the old courtyard walkways has nearly been completed.

Over at the mountain, a mysterious pink triangle box was spotted at the site.

We also can see where work on the fountain base has been progressing as well. New cement has been added in sections while work to remove the sidewalk around it continues.

Over in the breezeway just beyond Gateway Gifts, repaving work here is also moving along.

This pathway continues to see sections removed while the work moves forward. We can also see here on the left where the bypass pathway will likely meet up with the breezeway in the future.

Over on the west side of the entrance beyond the security entrance, work continues on landscaping behind this green fencing.
