While we were all excited to eat some barbecue at The American Pavilion today, it seems Regal Eagle Smokehouse is running unpatriotically late, with its expected opening further delayed. Coming up is President’s Day weekend, and I know Sam Eagle won’t let his centennial cook-off go unattended by the hungry masses. The restaurant could open any day now, so let’s take a look at all of the latest details and preparations.
The themed sign remains covered, albeit with lanterns now decorating each end. All of the crown moulding has been installed along the edges of the roof and doorways, although we have seen contractors still up on the roof finalizing some electric work.
At the very center is the smoker, which was recently installed.
A small incline structure will keep smoke from billowing off into the rest of the pavilion. The structure is also outfitted with additional lights and even an alarm system.
All along the edges, new picnic tables and benches are staged, but still wrapped along the feet.
From here, you can see the ordering and pick-up windows. Disney has stated that Regal Eagle Smokehouse will be a fast casual restaurant, but we’ve yet to see if that’ll manifest in the form of pager-based food delivery or otherwise.
We’ll keep checking in until Regal Eagle Smokehouse finally opens to the public! In the meantime, you can browse the full menu (with prices) by clicking here.
