Launched back in November shortly after the debut of Disney+, 12-Month Subscription Gift Cards for the popular streaming service have been go-to gifts for many Disney fans, and with Disney+ gaining popularity during these stay-at-home times, gifting a subscription to your friends and family stuck at home seems like a no-brainer. However, it seems Disney has temporarily pulled the plug on gift subscriptions.
If you check the current Subscription Gift Card page, it states that the site is temporarily unavailable. Since Disney+ Subscription Gift Cards are issued by Disney Gift Card Services, this news aligns with the recent announcement that all physical gift cards would be discontinued temporarily on March 16.
These Disney+ Subscription Gift Cards were available for purchase throughout the Disney Parks and Resorts up until the indefinite closure, and retailed for $69.99. These Subscription Cards entitled holders to 12 months of Disney+. Of course, you can still purchase any of the three subscriptions (monthly, yearly, and bundle) available directly on the Disney+ website.
