WDWNT is Hiring a Weekend Editor!

Are you a passionate and knowledgeable Walt Disney World fan? Do you have professional experience as a writer and/or editor? Are you looking for weekend work? Then WDWNT has an opportunity for you!

WDWNT is looking for an experienced writer and editor to help us maintain the WDWNT.com website on weekends. Please note that this position requires a specific time commitment every weekend. To be considered for the position, you must be available to work 8-12 hours a day on both Saturdays and Sundays. The start date is immediate.

Weekend Editor Job Description

The weekend editor will maintain the flow of content for WDWNT.com on Saturdays and Sundays. The position entails writing articles, editing articles, optimizing articles for SEO, adhering to style guidelines, publishing content on a regular basis, and pushing published content out on social media channels. The weekend editor will also help direct writers/reporters, monitor news and other sources of content, and fact-check and research where necessary. The ideal applicant will be a self-starter with an extensive (if not obsessive) knowledge of Disney Parks. The position is contract-based and paid $15 hourly.

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of and passion for Disney parks and resorts
  • Professional writing experience (preference will be given to candidates who provide writing samples)
  • Professional editing experience
  • WordPress (Gutenberg experience is a plus)
  • SEO
  • Availability on Saturdays and Sundays

Preferred skills:

  • Video and photo editing experience
  • Social medial experience
