Oogie Boogie Bash Cancelled at Disney California Adventure Due to COVID-19 Pandemic Concerns

It seems Mr. Oogie Boogie won’t be in for a scare this year, as Disneyland Resort has announced that the separate-admission event at Disney California Adventure will not be returning this Halloween season. Both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure remain shuttered as they await approval for reopening from state and local officials.

According to the OC Register, a Disneyland official stated that preparation for the party, which begins in mid-September, takes ample planning. Without a reopening date even set, the resort is unable to host after-hours parties such as Oogie Boogie Bash. The resort hopes to bring back the popular Halloween party in 2021.

Disneyland has stated that it plans on sharing details on this year’s Halloween Time decor at a later time as the resort continues to work towards reopening.
