Disney Stock Climbs 10% After Streaming Success with Disney+

Disney+ has steadily grown since its public premier nine months ago. Today, Disney+ has over 60.5 million global subscribers, totaling over 100 million streaming paid subscribers across Disney streaming services.

After announcing this major milestone, which Disney originally projected it would meet by the year 2024, shares of Disney stock jumped 10%.

This success comes after the Disney+ releases of “Hamilton” the musical and Beyoncé’s “Black is King” visual album in July.

Disney recently announced the early release of “Mulan” on Disney+ for an added cost of $29.99. Additionally, Disney announced plans for a new international streaming service under the Star brand to premier in 2021.
